Review of Wicked at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach

This weekend my family and I had the pleasure of attending the Broadway musical, Wicked at The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. Wicked is a famous Broadway musical that tells the story of two witches, Glinda and Elphaba, from the classic novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The musical takes us on a journey through their lives before the arrival of Dorothy in the Land of Oz.

This musical is a masterpiece of storytelling, with a well-crafted plot and memorable characters. The music, composed by Stephen Schwartz, is beautiful and captivating, with powerful lyrics that convey the emotions of the characters. The songs range from ballads to upbeat numbers, and each one is performed with energy and passion.

The acting in Wicked was exceptional, the lead roles of Elphaba and Glinda delivered outstanding performances. They captured the audience’s attention with powerful vocals and emotional range.

One of the most impressive aspects of Wicked was the set & costume design. The sets are breathtaking, with elaborate steampunk backdrops and intricate lighting that transport the audience to the magical world of Oz. The costumes are equally impressive, with vibrant colors and details that bring the characters to life.

Overall, Wicked was an unforgettable experience that left us mesmerized and enchanted. The musical was a perfect blend of drama, humor, and romance. If you have the opportunity to see Wicked on Broadway or any location of the North American tour, don’t miss it! It’s a must-see show that will leave you feeling nostalgic and inspired.
